DISKEDIT-Disk Sector Editor 3.00 for DOS This is a utility to view disk sectors in both hex and ASCII formats. All characters are displayed, including control characters and those above ASCII 128. If you want to snoop at your disks and see what they look like inside, you can use this. Also useful for repairing corrupted data, if you know where to look, like boot sectors, FATs, and root directories. BE CAREFUL. USEFUL IF UTILIZED PROPERLY, DANGEROUS IF USED IMPROPERLY. SEE THE WARNINGS THAT ACCOMPANY THE SOFTWARE. DO NOT RUN UNDER WINDOWS. Since Windows is multitasking, it's possible it might be making changes to your disk while the program is running. At the very least, your display may not match the actual contents of the disk. At the worst, you may end up corrupting the sector or the system area. Compiles with Borland Turbo Pascal for DOS, version 5.5 or later. DSKE300D.EXE (44k)
